MAVIS-FLOW 7 makes simulating mould filling simple. The software includes a database of commonly used casting alloys and mould materials, the user can also edit and create their own material properties data files if they wish. Thermodynamically derived properties files can also be used if available.

A project manager enables simulation parameters to be organised quickly and efficiently. Material properties data are  assigned to the model geometry, boundary conditions and initial flow conditions established and output  files requested. Typically a full flow simulation can be set up in a matter of minutes.
